David Sands leads all electronic engineering tasks at Range Energy and supports the development of its high voltage battery. Prior to Range Energy, he held engineering positions at Zoox, Tesla – where he assisted in the development of the Model 3 2170 battery module and the Model S programs – and Telemark Systems. David owns and runs a blacksmith business, Snads Metal Works, and is also a GRAMMY Award winning recording artist and producer. In his free time, he restored a 1933 24’ wooden sailboat, Sugarfoot.
