Welcome to our inaugural Range Energy newsletter. This is an opportunity for us to share exciting updates and progress from Range, as well as a preview of what is shaping up to be a very exciting 2024!
Beta Trailers and “Reefers” for 2024
In the coming months we will be assembling and commissioning the first batch of Beta trailers. We took all of the learnings from our initial prototypes and early customer pilots to create a significantly improved and advanced product with a new battery chemistry, an optional larger battery pack, integrated electric axle and advanced controls and safety features. With a more efficient drivetrain and a larger battery pack, we’re expecting even greater fuel savings than our early prototype tests showed.
Additionally, we will introduce our refrigerated trailer (“reefer”) with electric refrigeration capabilities. This will be the first trailer on U.S. roads that combines a battery-powered electric refrigeration unit with a fuel savings propulsion system, a proprietary combination that presents a truly exciting business case.

Reserve Your Fleet’s Spot in Our Pilot Queue Today
Soon we’ll be offering potential customers and fleets the opportunity to pilot our Beta trailers within their operations. Range will deliver the trailer and allow it to be utilized within select fleet operations for 1-2 weeks in order to demonstrate the technical viability, integration requirements, and quantifiable fuel savings. We are offering both dry van and refrigerated trailer units for demonstrations.

Regulatory & Incentives Updates
We are thrilled to announce that our latest trailers qualify for point-of-sale incentives up to $120,000 through California’s CORE program. Details on the voucher incentive as well as eligibility criteria can be found here.
We are also continuing to develop relationships and conduct educational outreach with several federal and state regulatory agencies as we continue to define an entirely new product category.
