James Hedden heads manufacturing operations at Range Energy where he focuses on the development and scaling of manufacturing processes and facilities, equipment, and logistics operations. James previously worked at Zoox as its first manufacturing engineer, leading the development of its next generation assembly line as well as all vehicle assembly-related tasks for the first ground-up autonomous robotaxi, the VH6A. Following the success of the VH6A, James managed the building of two additional assembly lines and the scaling of the VH6B and L3 Highlander programs. Earlier in his career, he was an equipment engineer at Honda and eventually Tesla, where he helped ramp up Model S production and supported the introduction of the Model X and Model 3. As an avid outdoorsman, James spends his free time fly fishing, mountain biking, and going on camping trips with his wife and dog.
